General description of organisation
Tavis Capital, based in Zurich, is an innovative FINMA-regulated asset manager of collective investment schemes. As a leading provider of private debt solutions in Switzerland, Tavis specializes in the management of loan portfolios - from corporate loans to commercial mortgages - and currently manages assets of approximately CHF 1 billion. Tavis partners with Swiss SMEs and real estate companies, in all industries and sectors, and provides institutional investors with attractive investment products.
Reason for membership with SSF
We believe that integrating ESG risk factors into our investment process helps us to reduce the overall investment risks. We also believe that the definition of ESG exclusion criteria supports us in reducing potential negative effects on society and the planet. Tavis decided in 2019 to fully integrate ESG into the investment activity, based on new ESG Guidelines. We do see benefits of this ESG integration not only for ourselves, but also for the investors in our products. Applying for an SSF membership and becoming a UNPRI signatory are both related steps.
