General description of organisation
Renaissance provides Swiss pension funds with the opportunity to invest in Swiss non-quoted SME. Renaissance is an investment foundation under the supervision of the OAK BV and managed by Renaissance Management in Lausanne and Zürich. 45 Swiss pension funds for a total of CHF 400 million have subscribed to the Renaissance funds since 1997. Renaissance’s latest fund – RENAISSANCE EVERGREEN – is dedicated exclusively to the financing of well-established and successful Swiss SMEs (“buyouts”). RENAISSANCE EVERGREEN innovates with a yearly dividend pay-out, a lower cost structure and an active ESG engagement.
Reason for membership with SSF
Renaissance has intensified its ESG engagement with the launch of its latest fund – RENAISSANCE EVERGREEN. The « evergreen » denomination means that the investments can be held for an indeterminate period of time, hence allowing an in-depth and long-term-focused ESG engagement by Renaissance in its portfolio companies. Hence, Renaissance is keen on joining the SSF platform to share its ESG engagement know-how among Swiss SMEs and benefit from the experiences of other fund managers and institutional with their own ESG engagement programs and expectations.
