General description of organisation
PwC focuses on three disciplines: assurance, tax and legal, and advisory services. These disciplines address the matters of building trust, creating value for the client’s stakeholders and shaping the strategy towards a sustainable business. Many organisations express a commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability in their mission statement. We express it in our everyday work. We realise that if you advise other people on questions relating to sustainability and compliance, you have to lead by example.
Reason for membership with SSF
The financial sector already has a number of institutions recognised within for their leadership on sustainability issues. However, there exists a lack of confidence in the capacity of the financial sector to factor sustainability risks and opportunities into mainstream decision making, to deploy capital towards long-term productive assets and to manage this process in a transparent and accountable way. Still a number of barriers to progress exist. With our SSF membership, we express our commitment towards the aspirations of creating a sustainable and resilient Swiss financial market.
