General description of organisation
Pensionskasse Basel-Stadt (PKBS) is an independent public-law pension fund for employees of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and other affiliated employer. PKBS invests the assets (around CHF 13 billion) professionally and responsibly. This responsibility includes respect for people and their social environment and the preservation of the natural environment. PKBS therefore integrates not only economic but also sustainable principles in its investment activities and thus wants to contribute to a sustainable economy. PKBS supports a stable and prospering socio-economic environment that serves society as a whole and protects the interests of the insured and future generations. PKBS has adopted eight principles for a sustainable investment policy.
