General description of organisation
As an initiator of fund solutions for third parties and anchor investor, the Swiss energy supplier EBL unites qualified investors and investment opportunities in energy infrastructure. The wholly owned subsidiary EBL Infrastruktur Management AG (EBL-IM) is a FINMA-accredited manager of collective assets.
The investment vehicles structured by EBL are characterised by a clear strategy, sustainable returns and a direct and positive impact on the sustainability of energy systems. The EBL X Invest fund currently managed by EBL-IM raised EUR 106 million at its first closing in January 2024.
Reason for membership with SSF
EBL wants to play a pioneering role in the field of sustainable energy and proactively face up to change. For example, we were one of the first energy suppliers to establish heating networks based on renewable energies.
With the establishment of the SFDR Art. 9 fund for renewable energy infrastructure we also want to encourage additional investors to support us with the transformation of the Swiss and European energy infrastructure. It is our aim to exclusively produce electricity from renewable energies in the future. We would like to tackle this challenge with SSF and make our contribution.
