General description of organisation
The CSS Group, headquartered in Lucerne, was founded in 1899 as a self-help organization. With over 1.6 million insured persons, the company, is today one of the leading Swiss health and property insurers. CSS Asset Management manages assets of over CHF 5.7 billion across a wide range of asset classes.
Reason for membership with SSF
In recent years, CSS has comprehensively aligned its investments with the guidelines of the Swiss Association for Responsible Investment (SVVK) and exercised its voting rights in line with its ESG strategy. In addition, CSS is continuously striving to make the company's investments even more sustainable by limiting harmful and increasing value driving economic, social, and environmental impacts. This ambition is part of CSS’ wider goal to become a leader in corporate responsibility and sustainability.
By joining Swiss Sustainable Finance, CSS aims to strengthen its network and the exchange of information in the area of sustainable investing.
