General description of organisation
Caisse de prévoyance de l’Etat de Genève (CPEG) is the pension fund of the employees of the state of Geneva and other affiliated employers. CPEG insures over 80 000 individuals and has total assets worth over 22 billion CHF.
Responsible investment is of the utmost importance to CPEG as investing responsibly is one of CPEG’s core objectives according to the law regulating its activities. Being committed to respect the Paris Agreement and to improve the Social and Governance characteristics of its investments, CPEG invests according to four pillars: ESG integration, Engagement, Exclusion, and Impact Investing.
Reason for membership with SSF
Collaborating being key to progress on sustainability, CPEG has joined several responsible investment initiatives, such as the PRI and IIGCC. Being part of SSF allows CPEG to share knowledge on best practices with its Swiss peers to help tackle sustainability issues together and make Switzerland a global leader in responsible investment.
