General description of organisation

acrevis is a regional bank rooted in the eastern part of Switzerland, founded in 1854. As a universal bank, we offer the full range of Retail-, Private- and Commercial Banking services to private as well as business clients. acrevis comprises 170 employees, over 55'000 clients, over 10'000 shareholders and total assets of CHF 4.9 bn. Responsible banking has always been our mission. With regards to sustainability, it is our aim to maintain a leading role in the regional banking market by living our social, ecological as well as economical responsibility.

Reason for membership with SSF

One of our predecessor banks emerged from an initiative of the "Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft" of the city of St.Gallen. Hence, responsible banking has always been a key priority for acrevis. Ever since, we have been dedicated to fostering social and economic development within our region. We live sustainability in our banking business, i.e. with regards to our product offering, as well as to our operations and processes.

Since, 2020 we have been strengthening our position as a responsible bank. For example, sustainable banking products play a core role in our business. Moreover, we are certified "climate neutral" and work on reducing our carbon emissions. As a member of Swiss Sustainable Finance, we would like to exchange views and best practices with other institutions and play an active part in further developing sustainable finance in Switzerland.
